How secure is First90 - is my company data safe on the platform?

First90 is committed to both security and privacy – we believe it is critical to protect you, your employees, and your data with best-in-class practices and vow to treat our clients with integrity and transparency. First90 is SSL-certified for all First90 domains – this provides an encrypted and secure connection for all data transfer. In addition, all data is stored on Amazon Web Services servers on the US East Coast, which adhere to the highest security standards. Finally, all users are required to create strong passwords (i.e., with special characters) and are logged out after 15 min of inactivity for security purposes.

 

How customizable is the training I can create on First90?

Our platform is built to be entirely customizable. Companies start on First90 by structuring training exercises in a series of modules and steps. Each step represents a day-to-day task that employees have to complete. These tasks are made up of individual actions like reading or writing emails, downloading files, watching videos etc. - the building blocks that First90 is made of. There are ten different actions that can be combined in multiple ways to replicate each company’s unique attributes and approach.

 

In addition, companies are able to upload their own resources and advice from colleagues, as well as decide on the evaluation criteria for specific submissions. First90 is the only training platform that allows this level of customization, ensuring that each company can build training that is relevant and accurate to their way of working.


How long does it take to create a simulation on First90?

This depends on the length of simulation and amount of new content that needs to be created. We estimate that to create a two-day simulation would require about a week of work from the training and knowledge management team. If the material for experiential training is already created, we estimate it would take most customers less than a day to transfer that content onto First90. Some companies choose to use a previous transaction or engagement (after removing all confidential information), which greatly speeds up the creation of the simulation or practice exercise.

 

Will First90 have templates that I can use to build simulations?

Yes - we plan to provide companies with a couple of example simulations they can use to build their training experiences from. We believe that customization is critical (your employees want to practice how they should work at YOUR firm) but starting with a template can be helpful to get a sense of what best-in-class experiential training looks like.  First90 currently has templates for law firms (transactions) and consulting firms (strategy engagement)

 

Does training using First90 work?

Research supports the power and efficacy of the First90 model - read our blog post for more detail. Experiential learning is proven to result in better academic performance (0.46 standard deviation over traditional learning). Implementing measurement and feedback (i.e., through First90) can result in 15% higher retention rates. In addition, First90 eliminates prejudice and bias through the use of data, supporting firm diversity and inclusion efforts. 

 

First90 can also help reduce administrative and hiring costs. Implementing experiential training normally requires 1-2 full time HR/Training FTEs – First90 would enable firms to build and deliver experiential training with zero additional headcount, First90’s data on new employees would also enable earlier identification of issues, preventing costly interventions and hiring replacements (which costs 30%+ of an employee’s annual salary)


 

What does the pricing for First90 look like?
